Story Jabardasth movie is about two individuals, Bairraju (Siddharth) and Shreya (Samantha). Shreya has got an ambition to become a successful businesswoman and unfortunately, Raju comes to know her idea and knock shreya out of an interview. Strangely, both Shreya and Raju start their own wedding planning firm within no time. Will Shreya's dream come true? What happens between Shreya and Raju? All these must be watched on the big screen.
Analysis
To start off, 'Jabadasth' movie is a freemake of Bollywood movie 'Band Baaja Baarat'. For those who have watched the Bollywood film 'Band Baaja Baarat’, Jabadasth will be a freemake and will come in as a reproduction. Director Nandini Reddy has added enough comedy quotient within the script to make it a comedy entertainer and she has succeed. First half songs, “Tees Maar Khan', 'Lashkar Pori' and 'Arey Arey' are very good and are the major highlight for the film.
After a predictable interval episode, second half of the movie gains the momentum with Nithya Menen's entry. Nandini Reddy seems to have concentrated more on Nithya Menen's character and yes, her performance is an additional asset for the film.
Perspective
As said earlier, audience will have different opinion on 'Jabardasth' movie, as it is highly inspired (Another name from Free make) from 'Band Baaja Baarat' film. After a successful film like 'Ala Modhalaindhi', audience expected that Nandini Reddy will select a fresh love story or a comedy entertainer. As we have watched the 'Band Baaja Baarat' movie, every scene was predictable for us. Apart from some minor additions of characters and scenes, main plot is the same. Without a second thought, we can say that the former movie was better. South India's biggest film promotion agency , Shreya's Media brand has been used as a backdrop for the Siddharth and Samantha's wedding planning firm.
Performances
Siddharth has done his mass role with ease but it might not go well with the audience as we are habituated to see him in a soft/lover boy characters. Samantha is the saving grace for the movie. Though she overacted in some scenes, it was good to see her when she is restrained. Nithya Menen's extended cameo role is good and Srihari has done his job. Tagubothu Ramesh is hilarious and Dharmavarapu Subramanya and Vennela Kishore looked good in their limited roles.
Technicalities
Songs by Thaman are good and are a relief in the movie. Lyrics by Lakshmi Bhoopal, Ramajogayya Sastry and Sreshta are nice & cinematography is neat. Kona Venkat has provided the additional screenplay and dialogues by Veligonda Srinivas are ok.
Positives
Samantha
Negatives
Heavily inspired/Free make of Band Baaja Baarat(This is a major thing as the complete film can be predicted)
Characterization of Siddharth
Final Word : You can watch 'Jabardasth' movie, if you haven't watched 'Band Baaja Baarat'.
