Story:
A gripping tale, the story begins with the ace wildlife photographer Vikram (Randeep) who falls in love with Nisha, (Sara) a waitress working at a lounge. Soon, the relationship takes a new level and Nisha moves in with Vikram to his palatial bungalow located outside the city. The house is not only having a heritage look but has an element of eerie feeling to it. Slowly Nisha begins to have some experiences and she discovers that it is the same place where Roshni (Aditi), Vikram’s former girlfriend had gone missing. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engrossing. The dialogues were neat. The script was well written and the screenplay was good in parts, especially in the second half. The background score was haunting and two songs were good. Cinematography was excellent. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was impressive. Randeep Hooda has made everyone forget Emraan Hashmi with his strong screen presence and versatile performance, he was excellent. Aditi Rao Hydari has sex appeal written all over her and she added with performance. Sara was sensuous and good. Rajesh was regular, Bugs Bhargav was good, Shekhar Shukla was standard.
Conclusion:
The film has been an adaptation of the Spanish thriller ‘The Hidden Face’ but there were enough changes made to give the nativity feeling to the Indian audience. The first half goes about with elements of spooky moments and makes you feel scary but the second half gives the much needed thrill and chill. The climax is worth a watch. Overall this is a film which is worth for its sensuous quotient with shock value. At the box office, this will be a winner.
AtoZmusic verdict: Erotic, haunting and spine chilling, recommended
